The tutorial trap is a real thing

Following a step-by-step guide produces a result, but it does not teach you to make decisions. Most people who struggle at the transition from tutorials to independent work are not missing technical knowledge — they are missing the habit of reading a problem and choosing a starting point.

Sessions are built around that gap. Instructors present a brief, then model live while explaining every decision out loud — not just the steps, but why one approach is chosen over another given the polygon budget and the target engine.

What the commitment actually looks like

Participants who get the most from the programme typically spend four to six hours per week on independent practice outside of sessions. That is not a requirement, but it reflects what the pacing assumes.
